Biography

Jason Bornstein is a Partner at Forerunner, where he leads the firm's Research and Portfolio Support. As Head of Research, he develops the investment theses and market perspectives that sharpen where Forerunner looks next. As Head of Portfolio Programming and Support, he partners closely with founders on the things that decide outcomes — fundraising, storytelling, operational best practices, and recruiting.

He comes to the work as a builder himself. Before Forerunner, Jason was an early employee at Bonobos, one of the firm's earliest investments, where he helped build one of the first digitally native brands. Jason earned an MBA from Stanford GSB in 2018 and a B.A. in Communication Studies from Northwestern University in 2009.
