Anthony Perez

Right out of college, Anthony Perez joined a small, back-office administrator providing outsourced CFO services to boutique private equity firms and small businesses. In this role, he had the pleasure of working with a diverse range of companies – from a local bakery manufacturer to a multinational strategy consulting practice – which wound up being a formative step in his career trajectory. He continued to work in private equity, developing a deep empathy for founders and a desire to support them along their entrepreneurial journey. 

Anthony was drawn to venture capital – and Forerunner, more specifically – for the opportunity to support founders at their earliest stages. In his role, Anthony helps the operations team create the funds’ financial infrastructure. This involves enriching portfolio data, financial reporting, fund administration, and financial planning. 

Before Forerunner, Anthony worked at alternative asset manager Clearlake Capital Group, and prior to that, Crescent Capital Group, both in Los Angeles. He holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of California, Davis. Carving out a life that aligns with his passions, Anthony also provides surf lessons and equipment for at-risk, inner-city kids, empowering them with the confidence to navigate all waters of life.
