Prose
What they do
Beauty has sold generic formulas for unique people. Prose uses data and iteration to create truly personalized routines so product performance beats one-size solutions.
Why we invested
Forerunner invested in Prose because the founders identified a structural flaw in how beauty products are made: segmentation groups customers broadly, not individually. Arnaud Plas and his co-founders built Prose from scratch — not by adapting existing supply chains, but by creating a new one designed to formulate products per person. A customer purchases first; the product is then made to their specifications. The model reduces waste and delivers better fit over time. Today, 75% of Prose's revenue comes from subscriptions — a signal that personalization, built into the product loop, earns real retention.
